The two'a'them, they ain't human. They look it, sure, but they ain't. It's not like they were one'a us that gone off and died...
[This was not easy to talk about, because in this, at least, the two had an advantage over Daryl. Daryl was now closer to a walker than they were. None of them had the choice in their diets but Hinami, but she was never human to begin with.]
They don't... walkers'll eat anything livin' and bloody. People, animals, it don't matter. It's just them eatin' and eatin' and that's all they can do. Keneki and Hinami, they're people but they ain't human. And until they came here, neither of them really had a choice. Hinami does. I ain't sure how much of one, but Keneki don't.
...Look, I don't like it, neither, but they promised not to do it at the house and at least they ain't humans who chose to do this. It's just what they is.
[Wow. For as well as Daryl does explaining it, he sucks at explaining it at parts too. And Enid is still uncertain about the whole thing after listening, she gives a long pause before saying or huffing with a small nervious note.]
You're not very good at explaining this, are you? I... can see they are like people. I guess just need time to think about it.
[And this is where Daryl gets just a little defensive of them despite himself. They're part of the group and it comes naturally once he's accepted someone as such.
His tone calms down in the next moment because getting frustrated at her would do shit all for any of them.]
[They both know, or at least she knows, she meant they are people. Words like like just happen to be a habit in speech that caused it to sound another way.]
Sorry. I know they are.
[It's a touchy subject all around she guesses so that's all she'll do to apologize or talk about it, though.]
I'm still gonna stay home a while. [She clarifies, again.] Just a little while.
[And yeah. She feels more apart of the group so this's her letting him where she is in case. Give her a week or two, and she'll be like the cat that came back. More open to getting to know them than she is right now.
As that seems to be the end of it, though, she breathes out lightly on her end giving a final word, him a chance to say anything if he wants, and then clicks to end the call.] Talk to you later.
[He really hoped his short response would hide the hurt that came from her calling the other place she lived 'home' instead the house. He couldn't push her, though. The two of them, they were pretty alike in that respect.]
[What he doesn't know, is that both places are as good as home to her. Just for right now, though, the one place where she was alone was less complicated to her. And she was definitely still figuring out how she fit in to his group and how his place should be her only home, on top of all this.
